Benson: February 2012

Sorry about the longer time between posts this time. We have had an adventure-filled two weeks with not much spare time to post on the blog. Hopefully things are calming down and we will be able to post more often. We would love to hear from you guys. The beginnings of Benson starting to smile on a regular basis

Sometimes Benson and Mommy will sit and listen to the scriptures on the Iphone. He seems to quite like it.

Benson finally got to meet his Lolo (Grandpa) and Lola (Grandma).

Lola barely let the car park before she ran inside to meet her Apo (Grandson). She was so excited and instantly in love.

Ben dressed Benson for church and was very proud. He looked pretty adorable!

I don't love this picture, but Benson definitely knows his momma. If he was crying or tired, Lola just had to hand him to me and he would fall right asleep. So sweet!

Aunt Kristen finally came into town to meet Benson as well.

It was so fun to hang out with Kristen and get her advice and learn from her.

We tried the bumbo, but he's still too small. It will be soon though. Benson is EXTRA strong. He totally holds his head up. He also stands on my belly sometimes when I am holding him. It's pretty crazy.

I love this picture! Benson doesn't seem to like to sleep in his bed, but he does like the couch as long as mommy or daddy is close by.

Benson absolutely loves this fan. He just stares at it, even when it's not spinning and the light is not on.

Benson's first time in the Baby Bjorn. He is ok with it once it a while and it definitely makes it easier to get things done.

So sleepy......but not willing to sleep, so he screams instead. He doesn't do this much though, he is a pretty calm baby!

First thing to write about this week is that we haven't heard from you guys and it seems that you have moved. We were sad to hear that, but hopefully you are in a place where you can still look at the blog and hear what is happening with us and Benson. We continue to tell Benson all about you and would love to hear from you when you get a chance.

This week we have had the chance to get Benson out of the house a tiny bit more. We are still trying to keep him in most of the time since winter time is when babies get sick and we don't want that. But, we do try and get him out and used to running errands, going to church, spending time with family and so forth. He is starting to smile a little bit more. We have a few pictures of him ALMOST smiling, but we will make sure we post pictures of his cute smile as soon as we catch it on camera:). He seems to be in his best mood first thing in the morning. He smiles and coos and just likes to hang out. He has started really making eye contact and will watch us as we move around the room. He and Archie the dog are starting to be friends too. He also has started to get baby acne pretty bad. It's good to know he isn't completely PERFECT...oh wait, he still is:). We will try to make sure we have more pictures for you during this next week.
