Benson: February 1st-February 7th

We are starting to get into a routine of being a family. Benson is sleeping like a baby all day long and still liking to be a night owl and stay up from about 12pm to at least 2am. He did start liking his swing this week and if he is having a hard time falling asleep we will put him in his swing and it usually rocks him right to sleep. He is growing and starting to have a sweet little personality.

We had an adventure filled weekend. My sister, Jessica, and her family came into town so we had a lot of fun. On Friday night we all went to Ben's favorite restaurant, Red Robin. Benson did so well and mostly just slept in his car seat. On Saturday morning Benson's cousin, Avery, spent a lot of time holding and cuddling with him. She lives in St George so this was only the 2nd chance she has had to hang out with her newest cousin. On Saturday night we went over to our friends house to watch a movie. We watch the Bourne Identity with Kevin and Tia and had dinner at their house. Benson had fun just hanging out. On Sunday, Benson's one month birthday, we took him to church for the first time and he flashed us his first real smile while we were there. It was the CUTEST thing and I think I about yelled in the middle of the meeting "He SMILED, he really SMILED". HAHA. Ben and I were very excited about it!! That afternoon we had family come over to watch the Superbowl and hang out. We do dinner as a family every Sunday, but the Superbowl was of course a special occasion. Benson's older cousin, Monika, was over this weekend and loves helping with him. We also went to watch Daddy play basketball last night. It was fun to go and support him. We have had a fun filled week and we are really getting back into the rhythm of life as a family. Benson is such a doll and so sweet. He has the most beautiful eyes and his smiles are on the way and we can't wait to see more of them. We hope to hear from you guys soon. Love you!
